Job Description
Rapid Fiber Internet*, a subsidiary of Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative, is seeking candidates for the position of Supervisor of Fiber Operations and Quality Assurance. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, five or more years in networking and/or ISPs, and experience in inventory and warehouse management. Applications for this position will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. Monday, June 5.
This position will be responsible for:
- Inventory procurement, management, and control
- System troubleshooting and repair coordination
- Installation Contractor oversight
- Voice System Contractor interactions
- Quality assurance level monitoring
- Installation-related safety protocol compliance

Job Related Qualifications
Required Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent/GED
- Five or more years in networking and/or ISPs
- Experience in Inventory & Warehouse Management
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- AS or BS Degree in IT, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Seven or more years in networking and/or ISPs
- Demonstrated skills in electronic troubleshooting and repair
- 6σ Certification in quality assurance and lean processes
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IPv4 and IPv6
- Experience with Calix equipment and software, including Calix Cloud
- Knowledge of fiber, XGS-PON, GPON and related technologies
- VoIP troubleshooting, including latency and jitter management
- Experience with fiber splicing and optical power meters
