Homeguard Surge Protection
Power surges can be caused by weather events, wildlife and vegetation interference, automobile accidents, equipment failures, and other miscellaneous events. Do you want peace of mind that your home’s major equipment has an extra layer of protection from power surges? SVEC’s Homeguard program delivers that kind of peace of mind.
One incident has the possibility to cost thousands of dollars depending on the equipment affected. While many homeowners may have insurance to protect their items avoiding that headache is the desired option for most. SVEC’s Homeguard service provides a first line of defense by placing a meter-base surge protection device (MB-SPD) behind the cooperatives electric meter. This device helps protect your major equipment items by suppressing surges before they enter your home.
