Power Restoration at 95% As Work Continues

Power has been restored to over 27,300 (95%) SVEC consumer-members in the six days since Hurricane Helene blew through Florida's Suwannee River Valley as a Category 4 storm.

The full complement of 1,482 lineworkers, tree clearers, and support staff are working in all four of the co-op’s counties again today.

Power has been restored to 85% of the co-op’s consumer members in Hamilton County. Despite our best efforts, the goal of restoring at least 95% of consumer-members there has been shifted from last night to 11:59 p.m. tonight.

SVEC reached the 95% restoration mark in Suwannee County last night, more than 24 hours ahead of the goal. The cooperative achieved its 95% goals for Lafayette County Monday night and Columbia County Tuesday night.
