Power Restoration Update

SVEC has restored power to 59% of its consumer-members served by substations that have transmission service, except for the Burnham substation, which became energized late this afternoon. The Blair substation remains without transmission service.

Crews are making their way through the system from all substations in all four counties served by the cooperative. They continue to navigate challenges posed by broken poles, fallen trees, limbs and other debris. Some poles can take up to 4 hours to replace.

381 additional line and tree service workers arrived today, bringing the total workforce available tomorrow to over 1,400.
