Electric service has been restored to over 24,500 SVEC consumer members who lost power as a result of Hurricane Idalia.
SVEC employees continue to lead the efforts of nearly 2,000 lineworkers and vegetation management crews from mutual aid cooperatives, municipal utilities, investor-owned utilities and independent contractors.
Workers will be out tonight and again tomorrow, so for their safety, please move over a lane if you see a utility vehicle on the side of the road. If you can’t move over, slow down to 20 mph less than the posted speed limit.
