Restoration is Full Speed Ahead

A workforce consisting of 673 lineworkers and 179 vegetation management specialists are working to restore power in all four counties served by SVEC. They are being supported by 66 warehousemen, dispatchers, and other staff located at the storm response base camp SVEC has established at its headquarters in Live Oak. Power was restored earlier today to the Binderholz sawmill in Live Oak and the Mayo Correctional Institution.

Power was restored last night to Good Samaritan Center and Dacier Manor at Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park and the Live Oak Publix and Walmart stores.

Power has also been restored to 12 of SVEC’s 13 substations and Duke Energy Florida expects the remaining substation to be restored by midnight tonight.

We once again thank all our members for their patience as we continue to restore power as quickly and safely as possible to our communities after this devastating event.
