Second County Reaches 95% Restored as Work Continues

Power has been restored to over 25,000 (89%) SVEC consumer-members and the full complement of 1,482 lineworkers, tree clearers and support staff are working in all four of the co-op’s counties again today.

SVEC achieved its goal of restoring power to 95% of its consumer-members in Columbia County by 11:59 p.m. last night (now 95.9%). The cooperative achieved its goal for Lafayette County Monday night, and the goal remains to restore power to at least 95% of members in Hamilton and Suwannee counties by the following times

  • Hamilton – 11:59 p.m. tonight, Oct. 2.
  • Suwannee – 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3.
