The fifth annual Suwannee Valley Cornhole Tournament hosted by Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) raised $5,208 for United Way of Suwannee Valley (UWSV).
This year’s tournament featured a competitive bracket comprised of 8 teams and a recreational bracket with 14 teams.
“Year after year, the tournament is a lot of fun,” says SVEC Director of Communications, Jon Little. “We are very grateful for all the friendly, community-minded players who participate. We’re also extremely thankful for the sponsors who support the event. Together, they make the tournament a successful fundraiser.”
Tournament sponsors were:
Gusher Level – Pilgrim’s and Seminole Electric Cooperative.
Swish Level – First Federal Bank and W.B. Howland’s Building Supply
Slider Level – Ameris Bank, Cheek & Scott Pharmacy, Farmers Cooperative, Poole Realty, RIVEROAK Technical College, Sound Line Design and SunStop
North FL Cornhole based in Lake City organized the brackets and coordinated the games. Lunches were available from the Suwannee High School Culinary Arts Department.
"United Way of Suwannee Valley continues to be so appreciative of the work Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative does to host the tournament,” says UWSV Executive Director, Jennifer Anchors. “Now, more than ever, we need leaders who can bring people together to help those in need."
