Matt Buchanan is a lifelong resident of Lafayette County. A fifth-generation farmer, he is the owner of a native-tree nursery, a member of the Middle Florida Baptist Assembly Board of Directors, and a deacon at Brewer Lake Baptist Church. He has 6 children, all of whom attended Lafayette County schools.
