From the CEO

Spring 2022

The first quarter of the year has ended, and as you’ll see in this newsletter, we’ve been busy. We launched new services that enhance the member experience and have maintained community involvement through various local events. We held a virtual annual meeting, received an excellent report from our financial auditors and had a great RESAP inspection. This quarter we also welcomed several new faces to the co-op and bid farewell to some familiar ones. We wish our retirees a fulfilling new chapter and look forward to forming lasting relationships with our new employees. In the Family section of this newsletter, we get a peek at some of our employees’ latest happenings and celebrate babies, graduations and more.

Lastly, every edition of Watts Up provides an updated glance at our SMORE metrics. I’m pleased to announce we’re on pace to reach all our safety and some of our other goals. However, there’s still a lot of 2022 left to go, and there’s room for improvement in several categories. I encourage everyone to consider how we can embody Safety, Member Experience, Outreach to Community, Reliability and Economic Viability in our daily tasks. When we apply our core values to everything we do, we can positively impact our co-workers, our members and ourselves. Thank you for all you do to serve our members and be part of the cooperative difference
