Maintain a Safe Zone when planting trees. Clear Zone = no vines, shrubs, or trees should be planted within 15 feet of the furthest point on a utility pole. Small Zone = 10-20 feet or farther from Clear Zone. Small trees like junipers, fruit trees, Crape Myrtle, Azalea, Vibumum. Medium Zone = 20-50 feet or farther from Clear Zone. Medium trees like Holly, Little Gem, Star Magnolia, Dogwood, Ligustrum. Tall Zone = 50 feet or farther from Clear Zone. Tall trees like Oaks, Pines, Pecan.
