Suwannee Knocks Out Hunger in First Food Fight
Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative was proud to lead the first-ever Suwannee Valley Food Fight in September. 11 local community organizations competed to collect the most food and money for Florida Gateway Food Bank. Over the course of the 4-week competition, the organizations raised $1,150 and collected 3,470 pounds of food. The money alone can be leveraged by the food bank to provide approximately 13,800 nutritious meals to local people in need.
