Created by Glinda Pennock of the Live Oak Artists Guild, SVEC’s quilt block features Willie Wiredhand and is on display at the main entrance of the cooperative’s office. Willie Wiredhand has been a mascot of the nation’s electric cooperatives since the 1950s. The Live Oak Quilt Trail is a collection of quilt blocks featured throughout Suwannee County. The project invites visitors to explore the countryside and share the quilting tradition.
