Suwannee Valley Cornhole Tournament Raises over $4,700 for United Way

The 6th annual Suwannee Valley Cornhole Tournament hosted by SVEC raised $4,740 for United Way of Suwannee Valley (UWSV).

Held on Saturday, May 13, this year’s tournament featured a total of 16 teams organized into “Competitive” and “Social” brackets.

“The tournament is always a lot of fun and we look forward to hosting it every year,” says SVEC Director of Communications, Jon Little. “As always, we are very grateful to the companies who sponsor the event, and to all the great people who come to play.”

Tournament sponsors were:

Gusher Level – Pilgrim’s and Seminole Electric Cooperative.

Swish Level – Ace Pole Company, Cheek & Scott Pharmacy, First Federal Bank and W.B. Howland’s Building Supply.

Slider Level – Ameris Bank, Lafayette State Bank, Poole Realty, RIVEROAK Technical College and SunStop Stores.

North FL Cornhole based in Lake City organized the brackets and coordinated the games.

"We are incredibly grateful to SVEC for their continued dedication to our community and United Way of Suwannee Valley. This partnership is very important to local non-profit organizations,” says UWSV Executive Director, Jennifer Anchors.

The tournament is held in the shade of SVEC's large truck shed.
Teams play to win, but the competition is always friendly.
