Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) has completed restoration of service to its consumers who lost power because of Tropical Storm Elsa.

After breakfast very early this morning, crews fanned out again across Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative's (SVEC’s) 2,100 square mile service territory to restore power to the 1,158 consumers still out as of 5 am. The crews from SVEC, contractors, and mutual-aid cooperatives restored power to 11,369 consumers yesterday and last night.

Crews have restored power to 5,421 consumers since early this morning, but Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) continues to experience a large number of outages caused by Tropical Storm Elsa.

Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) has activated its Emergency Response Plan in anticipation of potentially severe weather from Tropical Storm Elsa.
